Americas Youth

The Obama education plan is long overdue in this country that has seen public school systems reduced to advertising local businesses on the bottom of test pages (Google advertesting to get a better understanding of this).  When teachers are reduced to having to do this there should be a red flag that is raised that announces “we need to do something about this.”  Obama knows how bad it is getting and is making an effort to get teachers the compensation they deserve and the schools the money they need to be productive.

The American overall education system is outpaced by many other nations and it says nothing good about the political leaders of this country.  We have billions of taxpayer dollars to bailout the auto industry, AIG, and the already wealthy banks but there is nothing in any of that to help the local schools.  This hypocrisy is only hurting our children and the future of this country.  The Obama education plan is setting its sights on getting this turned around and it’s about time.

Children are basically growing up with no knowledge of what the real world is like as they talk on their cell phones and partake in social networks.  There was a time when the youth of this country mattered and were a voice for the rest of us.  These days are gone and now we are left with a youth that knows nothing about anything.  What are the bailout plans, or who is the vice president, and what is global warming all about are just some of the questions we should be asking our youth.  Sadly they have no answers.  What is causing the rise in Autism and diabetes, what is mesothelioma, and what is genetically modified food are a few more that they will know nothing about.  Hopefully this is what the Obama education plan is going to be aiming at with this new interest in our horrific public school systems.

This is a world they are inheriting and their knowledge of what goes on in this world is a mere fragment of what is taking place.  This is why the benefits of e-learning have the potential to assume control of the young mind and give it a crash course in matters that are important to everyone.  This is becoming a valuable resource and the more we see the Web grow into a learning tool the more we are going to see the benefits of e-learning take flight.
