How can economics be of help to students and professionals?

How Do you think economics could be of help to a student and when he/she becomes a professional in the future?

I personally think a class in Microeconomics would benefit all students, and should be required in public high schools. Not enough people understand how to make their own budgets and invest their own earnings.

Macroeconomics can be a benefit in our overall understanding of politics in America. Other than that, most people will never use it.
